Crowns, Inlays and Onlays

  • It is normal for your gums to be sore after a crown procedure. Listerine, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and salt water rinses may be helpful in the healing process. Use as directed.
  • Crowns may not feel like your original teeth. The contour and texture is often different. This is normal, and you should get use to the fit and feel in just a few short weeks.
  • If anesthetic was used during the cementation of your crown, do not chew anything until the numbness goes away.
  • Brush and floss like you normally would unless otherwise instructed in our office.
  • Avoid gum or any other sticky food for 24 hours.
  • Your new crown may be sensitive to hot, cold, or bite pressure. This usually goes away with time. If sensitivity persists or gets worse, or if your teeth don’t feel like they come together evenly like they did before, call our office immediately because you may need an adjustment.
Our Patients Say:

It is so nice to come into your office…I don’t feel like I am being taken advantage of financially like many other dental offices I have tried in Oshkosh. My options have always been explained to me upfront. I am always able to schedule my appointments around my schedule. Thank you. We believe you are doing an excellent job.

Jodie G., Oshkosh

I continue to come to Glacier Dental for my dental care. The care and consideration I receive from the Glacier staff could not be matched by any dental provider where I currently live.

Justun Hart, Oshkosh

Glacier Dental was helpful and painless! Incredibly kind staff and comfortable treatment!

Maggie Humbert, Oshkosh

I can’t say enough good things about the staff and the quality of care I experienced at Glacier Dental. From assessment to planning to treatment, Glacier easily ranks an 11 on a scale from one to ten! Way to go Glacier! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Truly a positive experience. I wish more establishments treated their customers like they do at Glacier. And I have to say the most gentle cleaning I’ve had.

Tyler Fitzsimmons, Appleton

Best dentist experience I’ve had. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I felt comfortable and informed the whole time. I’d recommend them to anyone.

Curtis Peck, Neenah

I moved to Princeton but I still come to Glacier Dental because the staff is very friendly. I had some concerns about a dental procedure done by somebody else and only Dr. Steckbauer took the time to call me and listen to my concerns and help put me at ease.

Elizabeth W.

I used to be one of the many who dreaded going to the dentist – now I actually look forward to my visits. Within minutes of walking through the door of Glacier Dental, you will be made to feel a part of the Glacier Dental family. They will do everything they can to provide you with the best care and comfort possible. I would highly recommend Glacier Dental to anyone looking for a incredibly positive dental experience.

Michelle L., Oshkosh

Great staff, great place. Had a wonderful appointment, Dr. Steckbauer was not only caring but also very willing to explain anything I had questions about. The assistant was also fantastic she put me at ease and is knowledgeable about the procedure.

Daniel W., Oshkosh

Polite, prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. I truly believe that I am receiving the best treatment possible by professionals that keep updated with the most appropriate current dental techniques.
